🌮 Air Fryer Shrimp Tacos Recipe

Ingredients (Serves 2–3, makes 6 tacos):

🦐 For the Shrimp:

  • 1 lb raw shrimp (peeled and deveined, tail off)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp cumin

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • Optional: pinch of cayenne for heat

🌮 For the Tacos:

  • 6 small corn or flour tortillas

  • Shredded cabbage or slaw mix

  • Fresh cilantro

  • Lime wedges

🌶️ For the Creamy Sauce (Optional but amazing):

  • 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

  • 1 tbsp mayo

  • 1 tbsp lime juice

  • 1 tsp hot sauce or sriracha

  • Salt to taste

👨‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Season the Shrimp

  • In a bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil and spices (chili powder, paprika, garlic, cumin, salt).

2. Air Fry

  • Preheat air fryer to 400°F (204°C).

  • Place shrimp in a single layer (use parchment liner if needed).

  • Air fry for 6–8 minutes, shaking halfway.

    • Shrimp are done when opaque and slightly curled with crispy edges.

3. Make the Creamy Sauce

  • Mix sour cream, mayo, lime juice, hot sauce, and salt in a small bowl. Adjust heat to taste.

4. Warm the Tortillas

  • Quickly warm tortillas in a dry pan or microwave with a damp paper towel for 20 seconds.

5. Assemble the Tacos

  • Add slaw or cabbage to tortillas.

  • Top with shrimp, a drizzle of creamy sauce, fresh cilantro, and a squeeze of lime.
